Chalkwell Lodge was consecrated at Freemasons Hall, Great Queens Street, on the 15th December 1948 and continues today to thrive and uphold the traditions of Freemasonry.
We actively support many Masonic and non Masonic charities.
The Lodge meets at Saxon Hall in Aviation Way, Southend, on a Saturday morning commencing at 10:15am 4 times a year on the 4th Saturday in January, March, and October, and the 3rd Saturday in May. Each meeting is followed by a very enjoyable meal.
We meet informally at Saxon Hall every Wednesday at 8:00pm except for the months of July and August, and although not mandatory, it is an opportunity to rehearse ritual and ceremonies, and enjoy a beer afterwards.
It is important to add that as a Lodge we very much appreciate the demands of the family and work, and remind all brethren that family always comes first, work second, and then Freemasonry.
Our social events throughout the year include a Ladies night / weekend, and a Christmas Lunch for family and friends.
