Thorpe Bay Lodge 4803 - A short history
Thorpe Bay Lodge 4803 was consecrated on Tuesday 2nd February 1926 at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street. Initially meeting at Freemasons Hall in Southend High Street we moved to the new Freemasons Hall in Woodgrange Drive as a Founding Lodge in 1953 and to our present home, at Saxon Hall in 2006. Regular Meetings are held on the Second Wednesday in the months of January (Installation), February, March, October and November.
The Lodge of Instruction met for the first time In September 1934 and meets regularly at 8 00 p.m. each Tuesday, with the exception of the months of May, June, July and August, at the Supporters Club, Windermere Road, Southend.
The Lodge is associated with the Thorpe Bay Chapter, which was founded on the 23rd June 1977.
